When I started getting into this world of online marketing I was so overwhelmed I became bogged down with INFORMATION OVERLOAD.

You sign up for my free marketing lessons here and there and BANG! You’re bombarded with all this stuff. Here, look at this video! Here, download this blueprint! and then buy all my stuff! Arrrrgggghhh!

I had just started with a really great company, but without all the advertising dollars to get started I almost gave up without even trying.

But I decided to stick at it and try and wade through all the information to separate the credible from the crap.

So your main target is to drive traffic to your website. You want visitors to find your main page, scroll and read all the way to the bottom and then give you something, whether it be some personal details or to purchase your product.

The way my business works is that I want people to opt-in so I can capture their email address and phone number etc. and follow them up with information.

But how do I even attract people to my site if I don’t have the big marketing budgets other people in my industry have? Well, when most people get started in business they have either of 2 things - TIME or MONEY! I didn’t have much money, but because I didn’t have any clients yet I sure had lots of time on my hands. So, I found a free marketing method that you are experiencing right now - You’re reading my article!

I am definitely not Shakespeare, so don’t worry if you think “I’m not very good at writing” because the great thing about the Internet is that people aren’t interested in that sort of thing. They just want succinct and easy to read snippets of information. ARTICLE MARKETING is a FREE and SILENT Marketing Weapon!

So why Article Marketing? Basically it gets your website link out amongst the online world and also helps boost your Google rankings.

The key is really just to be consistent and write lots of articles, especially at the beginning. At first I was writing about 3-5 each week and then just once a week or fortnight.

Another thing to note is to write about things that are related to what you’re trying to market. My opportunity is a home business, so hopefully I can attract people looking to run a flexible home business using all the different tools I teach. You can see I’m interested in internet marketing and would possibly be a great mentor to team up with.

And lastly …. KISS “Keep It Simple Stupid!” An old mentor said this to me one day and it doesn’t matter what industry you’re in it always applies and it definitely applies to the world of online marketing. Have fun and start writing!
