Online Marketing and What You Should Focus On

The fundamental question is web marketing? Why hire an online marketing firm? Social media agencies do a lot for a company in ways it can create your brand. This is especially helpful if your not exactly tech savvy when it comes to computers or even social media for that matter. With a social media agency you get the benefit of having specifically trained people remaking and showing how to utilize the great gift of social media. They do this by showing you how to attract followers or how to get more friends on to your page.

One focal point that a social media agency will help you stress is your strategy for the website. Whether you are recognized with everything thats social or you don’t know even known how to obtain a Facebook page. It helps to have an outsider help you think through your blueprint. A social media agency will ask questions to get you really thinking about why you’re investing resources into social media and what are the main goals or results that matter to your organization. These are all major question that they will go over with you when they consult with you.

Besides focusing on strategies a social media agencies will also help you focus on measurements. What I mean by measurements is that when you have a good social media strategist they will help you determine what to measure and how to measure what matters. Keep in mind social media does keep count of particular things. Having 1,348 Twitter followers may look like a great number but to someone else it might be a inept number. A good social media agency will help you dictate not only what to measure but aid you in setting up a comparative reporting system. This system will help you observe your progress.

In addition to measurements social media agencies will help you in zeroing on the mechanics. Believe it or not you do not need to know how to code a blog or customize a fan page on Facebook in order to build one into your marketing activities. Let the social media agency chiefly do all this because your paying them anyway. The other thing about social media is that you have free reign to do anything you want to profile to make it your own. Customization is hearten especially with Facebook.

After making clear how social media agencies operate hope I was able to answer the question why social media? As you can see social media agency issue many services to a potential client. These services help your company get an advantage on the competition. Resulting in you meeting your goal as a company. That is why it is really important to consider hiring a social media agency.

The Internet, Marketing and Social Media Accelerate the Globalization of Sports

Marketing and social media have shifted the way people think about sports. Sports have existed in one way or another since antiquity and are a cardinal human characteristic. The desire for athletic competition and challenge lived in the souls of ancient people, from the Olmecs in the jungles of Mesoamerica to the Egyptians on the banks of the Nile river. Sports were ordinarily a local, folksy affair. Particular sporting events were played in particular places and games were a centerpiece relative to each ancient culture. Today marketing and social media, search engine marketing, the internet, television, radio, mass print and digital advertising, telecommunications, and corporate sponsorship have both aggrandized and homogenized sports.

Twentieth century North Americans began the commodification of sports. Popular local sports like football, basketball, and especially baseball were transformed from activities of local habit to activities of commercial entertainment. The dawn of radio and newspaper media fueled the commercialization of sports in North America. In the late 1800s and throughout the twentieth century the American middle class expanded and people had disposable income to spend on recreation and entertainment. Americans were as eager to watch people play sports as athletes were eager to play on a team and be watched.

Commercialization and the media encouraged the rise of sports brands and corporate sponsorship. Athletes became celebrities with their photos printed on the front pages of newspapers and magazines. The advent of cinema meant that sports could be filmed and shown in theaters and eventually on television to consumers who live hundreds or thousands of miles away. By mid-twentieth century the commercialization of sports in North America had penetrated Europe and South America. Now pub dwellers in London and sports enthusiasts in Lima were talking about Major League Baseball.

Today the internet, marketing and social media, search engine marketing, satellite technology, and hyper-commercialism has expedited the globalization of sports. NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA games play on TV screens in sports bars in Moscow, Beijing, Sydney, Cairo, and La Paz. A kid in British Columbia wears an Eli Manning jersey and a pair of Jordan’s to school. Sports culture has been homogenized into a globally recognizable experience. Sports no longer have the specificity and uniqueness that they once had in antiquity. Although the process of commercialization and homogenization of sports culture started over one hundred years ago, the advent of the internet sped up the process.

Marketing and social media brought the faces, stories, highlights, statistics, images, and voices of athletes into households around the planet. Social media is an outlet that immediately connects people with athletes’ personal stories and most triumphant moments. The internet has been like dumping lighter fluid on a bonfire for the accessibility of information and communication in the digital age. People around the world were already mixing and matching sports culture long before the ascension of the internet. But the world wide web is like having the Great Library of Alexandria constructed in your backyard. Today every rule, play, athlete, logo, stadium, and history of any sport is just a Google search away.

What is social media to CGI? An Online Marketing Firm’s Gold Mine

I have been keeping track of the new movie “The Avengers” since the beginning of its proposal. The film is going to be breathtaking and the online marketing firm that handles its Facebook page is staffed by marketing geniuses. Why web marketing is vital in promoting CGI films is the audience that watches the film may not have heard of the film or seen advertisement for it prior to its release.

With the rise in popularity in CGI films the need to advertise such a product is pointless. CGI speaks for itself. Why social media would have to advertise CGI is beyond me. The endorsement of a film on the other hand, definitely makes more sense. CGI is towering above the computer world of films and it is only a matter of time before the entire film will be completely CGI.

All of the superhero shows use CGI. CGI makes everything that is impracticable for a human to do seem legit. The film releases need endorsement regardless of the wonders that CGI seems to do for the film. A social media agency would handle promoting the CGI indirectly. Why social media is crucial for CGI is how it displays the use of the product.

While advertising “The Avengers” film, a social media agency would be advertising the need for the awesome power of CGI. This is why social media is crucial today. Social media lets me know what is greater in technology and what is the coolest to watch on screen.

You see how all those movies that have a bit of the fantastic have CGI now? The day of the puppet has slowly disappeared over the years. Twenty years ago, CGI was in its infant stages. Without the power of a social media and the CGI product’s level of per-eminence I think the CGI fad would have been twenty years late. Why social media is crucial is because of relevance. Social media lets me know what is crucial and CGI certainly is.

Web Marketing for an Online Marketing Firm: The Art of Viral Marketing

Viral marketing has become pretty well-liked over the course of the last decade since the emergence of social media sites. Viral marketing is a form of marketing that expands through the internet when a site is clicked on. Digital advertisement is a powerful form of marketing that can take on a larger audience than paper advertisements. An online marketing firm that focuses in web marketing will use the foundation of social media and engage in viral marketing, spreading gradually from user to user on Facebook or Twitter.

An online marketing firm will take advantage of the power of viral marketing in order to spread word of a client’s company. Web marketing can prove to be more effective toward a company’s success rather than your regular form of advertising. Not everyone gets the paper or reads leaflets. If there is a YouTube video or a link that is easy to click on and available on a social media site, than it is more likely that the person clicking and watching will see the ad.

Web marketing is also a speedier kind of advertising. While there is a process in printing and time plays a major factor, viral marketing can prove to be cost effective and timely. Time is money and if you are spending not as much time in production than you are spending more time in placement. An online marketing firm knows just how to manage their time and execute a web marketing campaign effectively and efficiently.

Online marketing firms have an widespread background in web marketing. Where some viral marketing could be injurious, causing an influx of computer ads could really dissuade an internet user from actually pursuing a product. If an enormous quantity of ads bombards me at once I am immediately turned off from the product. Also there is a possibility that an advertisement could be just as easily ignored by a potential customer as it would in paper form.

A web marketing campaign that is performed properly by an online marketing firm will not suffer the ignorance of the consumer or go unnoticed. Viral marketing is meant to hit millions of people at once. If the advertisement is something that is tempting and relevant to the consumer than there is no reason that the web marketing campaign of the company should not work.

More And More Nutritionists Are Using Twitter For Business

Many people are finally waking up and figuring out that most of the food products sold in supermarkets are killing us. Basically any food item that is sold frozen or in a box or a pouch will contain more additives, preservatives, and chemicals than actual nutrition. Nutritionists have been trying to make people understand the importance of reading nutrition labels and cooking their own food. Finally it seems many people are beginning to listen and heed the warnings so many nutritionists have been making about prepackaged and frozen foods. Consequently nutritionists are beginning to use Twitter for business versus just for personal use. Twitter has become a kind of marketing firm for nutritionists who want to promote their beliefs about food, health, and fitness.

People want food advice while they are making moves. Nutritional newbies need access to expert advice when searching for a healthy entree at a restaurant, shopping for the family at the grocery store, or deciding which diet best suits their fitness goals. Nutritionists are using Twitter to reach out to people who want help. They can look for a nutritionist online and then follow that professional on Twitter. Health professionals Tweet tips and advice they think are useful throughout the day. The best part about nutritionists using Twitter for business is that people can Tweet a nutrition question while they are at the store or the restaurant and receive a response within minutes.

Some nutritionists are becoming internet celebrities on Twitter. They carve out a specific niche for themselves and post Tweets relative to their followers interests. Some nutritionists Tweet advice just for choosing healthy breakfast foods. Some Tweet advice about which foods to consume to improve your immune system and fight chronic disease. Some popular nutritionists have tens of thousands of followers on Twitter and have considerable sway over what these followers eat everyday. Twitter is an incredible outlet to share information and a lot of nutritionists are using it as their own marketing firm to advertise their books, recipes, and healthcare services.

It is a great sign that people are reaching out to nutritionists for advice. Most ailments and chronic health issues are the repercussions of malnutrition. The majority of people do not understand how significantly diet will impact overall health. People also lack an understanding of what real food is and the differences between food and “food products.” Carrots, rice, and salmon are food however Toaster Strudels, Stove Top Stuffing, and Pizza Bites are not. Supermarkets are packed with processed, refined, and synthetic food products that are poisonous to the human body.

Hopefully this trend of seeking nutritional advice from professionals through social media sites like Twitter continues. Many chronic diseases we associate with aging are caused by a lifetime of poor diet. When you eat poison your whole life you should not be surprised when your body breaks down. Diseases like Alzheimer’s, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease are linked to chronic inflammation. And when you eat processed, refined, and synthetic food products your organs become inflamed bringing about stress on your entire body that weakens it with time. Nutritionists have been talking about this for years but it seems they are only just recently beginning to listen. The more nutritionists that Tweet the better folks will eat.

Google Uses Online Marketing to Introduce Google+ with a David Beckham Interview

In a recent online marketing maneuver Google conducted an interview with international soccer star David Beckham. The main idea behind Google’s interview with Beckham was to introduce Google’s new social media outlet, Google+. Web marketing was a large part of the interview process.

Google+ incorporates many aspects of social media with their search engine and email capabilities for the average user. In Google+ the user can divide their email contacts into groups, or Circles as Google calls them, which they belong to. The user can also search for and follow organizations, teams, celebrities and news outlets that also have Google+ accounts.

Within your Google+ account you can instant message, video chat, and follow news feeds with posts made by members in your Circles.

The search engine portion of Google is incorporated into their new social media platform too. When a member is signed into Google+ the search engine results picked up are more tailored toward the specific person. Google will return search results that are more related to that individual depending on the keywords they search and their relation to the items and people in their Circles.

The interview was organized at Google’s San Francisco office in front of a live audience. Google’s way of introducing the social media side of Google+ was to hold a live stream of the interview with David Beckham on Google+. They uploaded the interview onto YouTube as well. The company incorporated the messaging and video chatting capabilities of their social media platform into the interview. They took questions from many of their participants across the globe and even linked their London office into a video chat where employees and guest from London could ask David questions.

Through the interview some different topics were discussed, with the first line of questioning dealing with David’s resigning with Major League Soccer club the L.A. Galaxy. David chatted about his reasons for staying in America and why he wanted to sign a new two-year deal with the Galaxy, which made large news in the soccer world, especially in the United States. Some of the other subjects he discussed in his interview were his family, living in America, attending the Royal Wedding, his long soccer career, and a new ad he will be in during the Super Bowl.

How Online Reputation and Reputation Management Should Influence Search Engine Tactics

Google yourself, your company, your friends. Do you like the results you see on your favorite search engine? If you don’t, there are things you can do about it to make your online presence a more positive one. Online reputation and reputation management are of the highest importance in today’s online community, and simply monitoring the results are not enough to transform what you are seeing a into a positive search result. Many a person has to turn to a social media agency to help them after seeing negative information online.

Does your company have nonconstructive reviews on a site (like Angie’s list?) There are a couple of steps you can take to spin the results into a more positive light and take proactive steps with online reputation and reputation management. First, you can respond to the results and clarify your side of the story-but make sure you do so in a way that doesn’t seem like an attack on the individual making the claim. Apologize for their bad experience and offer to do whatever is needed to repair the situation. You can also ask friends or family members to write positive feedback about your company, or take e-mailed or handwritten reviews from old clients and post them onto the site.

Another helpful idea is to make a Twitter or Facebook account (or both) for your business (or yourself, if that’s the online reputation you’re trying to build or repair.) In this way, customers have a place to talk about your company and ask questions in one general spot. And with these sites, you can ask your customers questions and make them feel a part of your online community. These sites will also fortify your online presence, which is another facet of online reputation and reputation management.

Getting involved in blog posts about your industry and even charitable events can also improve your online reputation and how you are identified in an online search. Discussing topics that are relevant to your industry and getting involved in events that will be covered by your local online community are a good reputation management practice and will increase your presence in the online community.

Online reputation and reputation management are imperative in today’s business world, and they directly influence how the public will identify your business. Taking steps to correct the negative and strengthen the positive in the online community will be constructive for both present and prospective clients to learn more about your business. And the more positively you are seen to the public, the more business your company will do as a result.

Social Media Management May Join The Ranks Of Investment Bankers And Traders

Social media management and online marketing on social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter have a greater relation to big finance than most people know. High frequency traders in the stock exchange are looking at people’s Tweets and posts to try and anticipate market moves before they happen. Facebook and Twitter may be following a path to becoming just as significant as traditional business news providers in the financial world. Major news and financial information providers such as Bloomberg, Dow Jones and Reuters now offer services that comb through market news from social networking websites. A lot of news about a corporation is made through a social media agency, search engines, and online marketing sites. There is a lot of information available through social media forums like Facebook and Twitter about products and services that turns into news later on. Traders and investors on Wall Street are beginning to learn that to find out what will be news tomorrow you have to look at what is trending in social media today.

Consumers from all walks of life and different places around the world can be reached on social networking websites. People Tweet and post about everything from the weather, sports and movies to politics, traffic, and what they had for lunch yesterday. Trendy topics in the social media world indicate popular sentiment and what people are thinking about. Financial firms want to tap into this well of information to improve market predictions. A multiplicity of investors and traders believe that Tweets can be an effective tool but there needs to be a system in place for analyzing and deciphering social media content.

The basic problem with unstructured web content on social media and online marketing sites is that it is intended to be abstract and not written by analysts. Locating and gathering valuable market data from Tweets and posts would necessitate a whole new genre of financial analysts who double as social media gurus. Some financial big wigs feel that using social media to make market predictions is too risky and not worth the time. Still social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook and search engine feeds could help investors identify and contain risk more effectively. Investors are also hesitant to place a great emphasis on watching Facebook and Twitter because the websites are a third party. Market watchers usually get their information directly from the source. They want inside information from a dependable informant and are concerned about lag and credibility with social media and online marketing sites.

The notion of trading on Tweets is not likely to take off in the near future but it is being discussed in financial circles. Peter Van Kleef, the managing director at Lakeview Capital Market Services, told CNBC that social networking sites have potential for market watchers because they transmit people’s attitudes and sentiments about products, services, and the current state of things. But he also doubts that social networks in their present form are an efficient tool for the financial industry. Mr. Van Kleef and many other financiers feel that for big investors and institutional funds to trust social networking sites as a measure of market sentiment there has to be more sophisticated analysis. Platforms and frameworks must be constructed so it is easier for market watchers to actually get to the source of information and actually quantify and qualify that news.

The majority of people do not realize the potential market value of their Tweets and posts. Traders and investors are probably better off that people do not recognize that the financial industry is considering the value of social media sites for making financial decisions. People tend to be more honest when they think big brother is distracted. Financiers look for honest informants and information to make important investment decisions so it will be interesting to see how the industry goes about using social media as a market measurement. The moral of the story is that the worlds of finance and social networking are calmly colliding.
