Here’s the simple process to use in order to get started with article marketing. Follow this and you’ll see nearly instant results:
1. First, pick a topic and write an article on it (or pay someone to write one for you)
2. You post your articles up to article directories
3. That’s it! Once your article is posted, people will read it and click the link to your website.
4. The way it works is that in your article you can place a link back to your site. This actually has two beneficial effects:
OK, the first benefit is that these sites already have traffic coming to them. People visit these sites because they are looking for information. So if you provide valuable information in your article your will get traffic to your site as a result. This is nearly instant and highly beneficial for you.
The other thing this does for you is even cooler. Every time you get a link to your site from another site, it increases the number of “backlinks” that the search engine count for you. The more backlinks you have, the more important the search engines assume your site it. And when these backlinks come from a site with a higher “page rank” than yours it increases your page rank, as well. Article directories usually have very high page ranking, so getting links back to your site from article directories increases your page rank, which in turn increases your ranking in the search engines. And a higher ranking in the search engines gets you higher in their listings . . . and that gets you more free traffic!
So far, so good, right - everything making sense?
OK, the process is easy and it works. The trouble is that there are literally thousands of article directories where you can post your article. To make the submission you have to fill in a form at each website and paste your article into the form to submit it. Obviously, you’re not going to be able to do this thousands of time, so you’ll need a service to submit your article for you. However, even if you could just blast your article to thousands of directories, you’re going to be faced with “duplicate content” issues.
To make this work, you have to submit unique content to each article directory. If you don’t, then you lose both of the benefits. First, if the people who visit the different article directories have seen your article on another site, they simply won’t read it - even if they skipped it on the other site. And more importantly, the search engines will only count one of the copies, so you won’t get the backlink credits and you won’t get the page rank benefits.
The solution is to use software to handle off of this. The way it works is that you create several versions of you article and upload them to the software. As long as each version means the same thing, the software can mix and match to create thousands of different version of your article. Again, you can have someone rewrite your articles for you, so you don’t have to do any of it. Then the software submits a non-duplicate content version to each of the article sites.
